What a car from Germany really costs in Kosovo

The price in the listing is not the price you pay. A car from Germany also carries duty, excise and VAT — and those follow engine size, age and fuel, not the price alone.

The simple rule: the older the car and the bigger the engine, the higher the excise. Cars over ten years old cannot be imported at all.
