After buying or importing you have fifteen days to register the car. The deadline is tight because the inspection and the insurance must fit inside it.
- Technical inspection at a licensed centre. The certificate must not be older than fifteen days when you hand it in.
- TPL insurance — no car is registered without a policy.
- Documents: ID or passport, invoice or contract, customs proof for imports, the inspection certificate and the policy.
- For imports also: proof of origin and deregistration from the previous country.
- Registration and plates.
The common mistake: inspection first, paperwork hunt second — and the certificate expires. Gather the papers first, leave the inspection for last.
