The border: the point that surprises many
Kosovo is not part of the Green Card system. That means two things: no foreign Green Card is valid here — Albania and North Macedonia excepted through agreements — and a Kosovo-plated car must buy border insurance when leaving.

- Driving RKS plates into the EU: buy border insurance on exit for the days of travel.
