Switzerland is not in the EU. That does not block the import, but it changes the paper trail: on top of the usual documents you need a Swiss export declaration.
The second difference is proof of origin. How much duty a car pays also depends on where it was built, not only where you bought it. Ask your customs agent about this before paying — the answer can be worth several hundred euros.
Otherwise the route is the same: deregistration in Switzerland, transport, clearance, inspection, insurance, registration. Swiss cars often come with a well-kept service book — ask for it; it lifts the value when you sell on, too.
